As discussed at the AGM in
Whistler, coaching certification is now following two streams, one for Rep
Coaching and one for House coaching. This should make it quicker for new rep
coaches to get their certification.

There are still two
lweaugue and one tournament sponsor in arrears. Dave to follow up.
Head Convenor
- There is a person
willing to donate goalie gear to minor hockey. We will accept it and forward it
to the equipment manager.

Equipment Manager
- Bill will pursue the two players who have not
yet turned in their jersies from last season. Two goalies have borrowed
equipment to use at a hockey school. The equipment will be returned at the
conclusion of the school.

season has been confirmed and will run from Sept. 10, 2007 – March 16, 2008.

Referee in Chief
–
We have dropped the two
spots we held for the ref clinic in Lake Cowichan because we have secured 4
spots for the clinic in Osooyos. The 4 referees that will attend are Elliot
Clarke, Geoff Barber, Graham Zagrodney and Nic Storie (tentative).

Association will accept Brad Konning in the position of Assistant Referee in

and Brad attended BCAHA AGM . Our resolution regarding girls hockey was tabled
for one year.

Summerland was awarded the
Bantam Rep Provincial Championships which will be held on March 16- 20, 2008.

McDonald of the Rec Department regarding Arena Board Advertising.

Brenda and Dave are going
to organize the necessary teams/volunteers required to assist at Summerland
Sting games (time keeping, security, etc.)

The SMHA Executive do not
feel that any Hockey Academies using players from within the OMAHA boundaries
should be allowed to play in minor hockey league play or compete for provincial
championships.
