Equipment Manager-

Suggest to keep 1 set of used uniforms (Atom & Peewee) and sell remaining

#11 Peewee Rep Jersey missing -white

Coach’s Rink Boards on order

Motion- SMHA to sell used jerseys for $10 per (Bill/Brenda)

Member at Large-Brenda

Socks available and track suits will be in Thursday Nov.20^th

Sam Hanon display case now in arena (possible lighting coming)

School Board to install bench at the high school courtyard ($1600)

Some problems with website – need upgrade

Motion- SMHA will purchase new Expressions software to upgrade website at accost of approx. $140 + taxes. (Denise/Bela)

Assistant RIC-

Atom Tourney this weekend and hoping to get the junior ref’s some game times and experience

Head RIC-

Official’s training ice time has been cancelled to due lack of numbers.  Scheduling conflicts blamed for low turn out.

Midget House Team Coach/Player concerns - Wade and Crystal will sit down with head coach and voice executive’s concerns

Tournament coordinator –

Atom Development tourney has 5 teams looking to fill 3 more spots

Arena Board advertising- “test” signs in place

Discipline committee selection- Crystal, Brad, Liz, Cal and Gerald

Goaltender- Bantam Rep- no luck from surrounding assoc.

New Business

 Coaches Helmets are mandatory as of Dec 1 2008 as stated in BC Hockey directive

-Motion- SMHA purchases 4 helmets for use by coaches (Wade/Denise) carried

  Amended via email to reduce the number of helmets purchased to 2, as response from most coaches is that they have their own helmets.

-All criminal record searches and Speak Out clinics must be done by Dec.1^st, 2008.

-SMHA Executive meeting policy to be put on web site

-Out of Province Teams attending SMHA Tourneys: Motion-Teams from out of country will be required to sign Fair play contracts (Liz/Brenda) Carried

-Midget Rep Tourney refund request by Westside-denied

-Initiation Tourney Proposed fees: Motion- to accept Initiation Tourney Fees of $450 per team. (Liz/Wade) Carried

Travel costs policy for SMHA Members that attend training courses to remain the same.
